Check Out
Check out is at 11 a.m. EST. No exceptions, please. Housekeeping must be able to enter the chalet at 11 a.m. Realize that they only have a limited amount of time to get the chalet ready for the next guests, so please be on time.
If you have not left the chalet when housekeeping arrives, you will be charged a fee of $100. If your late check out prevents the next guest from checking in, then you will be charged for an additional night.

Items Left Behind
We are not liable or responsible for items left behind, lost, or stolen. If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, please call us as soon as possible. We will inform you of the shipping cost and, with your approval, deduct the costs from your deposit refund to cover the expense.

Reservation/Damage Deposit
A security deposit of $200 or $250 with a pet is required to hold your reservation. When you arrive for your stay at our vacation home, the security deposit automatically converts to a damage deposit. This deposit is fully refundable within 10 days of your departure if the following conditions are met:

1. No damage is done to the chalet or its contents beyond normal wear and tear.

2. No early check-in or late check-out unless approved in advance.

3. No occupancy greater than what was approved.

4. No damage due to pets.

5. The chalet is in an orderly fashion and the trash is put in the trashcans by the road.

6. Linens are in good condition and none are missing.

7. Movies, N64 games, and board games are not missing or damaged.

8. Owners' club passes are left on the table next to the front door.

9. No damage to the hot tub or hot tub cover.

10. No damage to the pool table or accessories.

11. No smoking has taken place inside the chalet.

Payment Schedule
A reservation/damage deposit of $200 or $250 with a pet is required to hold your reservation. Payment of the total rent is due no later than 30 days prior to your arrival date. Payments can be made in the form of a personal check, postal money order, or Paypal who accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

Cancellation Policy
A thirty-day notice is required for all cancellations. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date forfeit the entire $200/$250 reservation deposit. If you have already paid for your stay, and we are able to rebook your dates, we will refund your payment less the $50 cancellation fee. No refund for no shows, bad weather, late arrival, or early departure.

Rental Agreement
Once I receive your reservation deposit and a signed and dated copy of this rental agreement, I will email you a confirmation letter and receipt. Once I receive your final payment, I will send out a Welcome package, which will include area information, directions to the chalet, and the key code for the front door.

What We Supply
When you arrive, the chalet should be clean and ready for your use. If there is a problem, please call us immediately at (302) 453-1975, and we will do our best to correct the situation. 

We supply the chalet with the following items:
 

• 12 bath towels
• 6 hand towels
• 2 dishcloths
• dishwashing detergent
• 2 roll of paper towels
• 2 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom
• Laundry detergent
• 1 pack of coffee to make 1 pot

• 6 wash cloths
• 2 dish towels
• dishwashing liquid
• hand soap
• coffee filters
• Linens for beds and pull-out couch
• Trash can liners
• Small bar of soap for each shower

Garbage Pick-up

Trash will be picked up from the bear-proof containers located at the end of the driveway on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Please DO NOT put trash outside on decks or leave it next to the containers overnight or for extended periods of time since there is a lot of wildlife in the area.

Fireplace
The gas fireplace will be available for your use October 1 through March 31.To turn it on, flip the switch located near the floor on the left side of the fireplace.

Hot Tub Warnings

• Use of the hot tub is at your own risk. 
• The following persons should not enter the hot tub without doctor’s consent: Pregnant women, babies and young children, or people with heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure.
• Children must be supervised at all times!
• Shower before and after entering the hot tub.
• Limit use to 20 minutes at a time to prevent nausea, dizziness, and fainting.
• Never put more than 4 people in the hot tub at one time.
• Do not use while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or other drugs that can cause drowsiness or influence blood pressure.
• Discoloration of jewelry and fabrics can occur.
• Never sit or stand on the hot tub cover. 
• Never put lotions, oils, or soaps in the hot tub. This could cause severe damage.
• Enter and exit the tub slowly and carefully.
• Always put the hot tub cover back on the hot tub after each use. 

House Parties, Receptions, and Noise

House parties are strictly prohibited and are grounds for immediate eviction. Disturbing the peace is also grounds for eviction.

Maids

There is no daily maid service. If you stay 5 nights or longer, the fourth day of your stay our cabin service people will come balance the water in the hot tub, pick up trash, and bring more supplies for no extra charge. They will attempt to call before arriving.

Maintenance
It is impossible to guarantee that all appliances, hot tubs, heaters, fireplaces, etc., will be in working order 100% of the time. We do guarantee to make every effort to correct any problem as soon as possible. Please call us at (302) 453-1975 if there are any problems. Non-emergency maintenance issues will be handled during normal business hours.

Winter Weather
During winter months road conditions may require a 4-wheel drive vehicle or chains on your tires if snow or ice is on the ground.

Bears
Please be aware that there are bears living in the area around the chalet, and bear sightings are quite common. Remember that bears are wild animals and are unpredictable. You may view them from a distance, but do not approach them. It is dangerous, and it is also very harmful to the bear.

Falsified Reservations
Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of deposit and/or rental money and the party will not be permitted to check in.

Additional Terms and Conditions

1. This is a Non-Smoking chalet. Smoking is only allowed outside. 
2. You must be 21 years old to rent this chalet.
3. Pets by prior approval only. Guests who bring pets who have not been approved will forfeit their reservation deposit and may be subject to eviction.
4. We require a three night minimum stay. Longer minimums may be required during holidays. Under rare circumstances we will allow guests to rent for less than 3 nights, but we may require additional charges.
5. If a personal check is returned to us for non-sufficient funds, you will be charged the amount levied by the bank for NSF charges.
6. Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
7. Rates, terms, and conditions are subject to change without notice.
   

I have read and understand the rules and regulations. I certify that I am at least 21 years old and that I will be held responsible for the care of this property. I accept full responsibility for damages or extra cleaning charges.
